Heifer Thailand Collaboration with Chiang Mai Provincial Livestock Office
The first collaboration workshop between Heifer Thailand and the Chiang Mai Livestock Office was held on August 27 and 28. Livestock officials from 12 districts attended the workshop. Heifer Thailand is implementing the Sustainable Buffalo Production for Self-Sufficiency in Northern Thailand (S-Buff) project in three of those districts. The objectives of this workshop were 1) to capture lessons learned from the S-Buff project and plan for its second phase, 2) explore collaboration opportunities between Heifer Thailand and the Livestock Office, and 3) provide training for Livestock Officials on Heifers Values-Based Holistic Community Development approach and Cornerstones.
